Recent Updates -

11/20/11 - Added several apparatus to the Verona department page and a detail page for Tanker 870.

11/12/11 - Campbell County Fire District 1 has shifted around several apparatus and the department / station pages have been updated with the new assignments.  Also added apparatus detail pages for Engine 503 and Tankers 532 and 533.

10/25/11 - The Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) received in August a new Summit trailer which carries 3 Polaris Ranger 6x6 ATV's and 3 Summit R.E.D. Wagons - Rapid Evacuation & Deployment.  The new deliveries section and airport dept pages have been updated for the new unit.

10/09/11 - Refreshed photography on the Kenton County Fire Chief's Association and Emergency Management pages.  Also added apparatus detail pages for the Kenton County Decontamination and Mass Casualty Units.

09/15/11 - Added Bromley's new pumper truck to the new deliveries section and updated the department page for the new arrival along with the subsequent retirements of the previous Engine 252 and Rescue 274.

08/26/11 - Hebron has received several new apparatus over the last year and the department pages have been fully updated to reflect the new arrivals and subsequent reassignments.  Also added quite a few historical apparatus and refreshed the photography on most of the apparatus detail pages.

08/04/11 - Added Point Pleasant's new Ventilation Unit  to the new deliveries section.  Also added an apparatus detail page for the new unit along with a new page for Rescue 1374.

07/24/11 - Completed a major update of Newport.  Added a new image of Truck 911 to the new deliveries section courtesy of the Newport Fire Department.  Also finished adding historical stations / apparatus, and added detail pages for Engine 901, Engine 902, Engine 903 and the recently retired Ladder 912.

07/10/11 - Added a historical page covering the Woodlawn Fire Department which disbanded in 2007.  The new page can be accessed throught the site map.

06/20/11 - The Park Hills Fire Dept sent me some great photos of their apparatus staged with the Cincinnati skyline as a backdrop.  The photos have been added to the site as a separate page that can accessed from the Park Hills dept page.  Also, added several images to the Park Hills apparatus detail pages.

06/10/11 - Added Edgewood's new Truck 160 to the new deliveries section and the department page.  Also refreshed photography on several of the Edgewood apparatus pages and added a few historical apparatus.

05/04/11 - Updated Point Pleasant for the arrival of the new pumper truck.  Also refreshed photography on all of the Point Pleasant apparatus detail pages.

04/29/11 - Added a new page covering the Warsaw - Gallatin County fire department, it can be accessed through the site map.  Also added an image of their new Ferrara quint to the new deliveries section along with an image of Newport's E-One quint assigned to Truck 911.

04/06/11 - Covington's new fire boat from Metalcraft Marine is in and being readied for service.  Pictures have been added to the Covington department pages and the new deliveries section.  Also added images of the historical fire companies to the main Covington page.  I have been gathering quite a few historical images of Covington stations/apparatus and will eventually add individual pages for each fire company.

03/23/11 - Added a new page covering the Northern Kentucky Technical Rescue Team - link can be reached through the site map.

03/11/11 - When Hebron received their new Haz Mat unit last summer, the previous Haz Mat was reassigned to Walton.  The Walton department page and the Boone County Emergency Management page have been updated for the change in assignments.  Also added several historical apparatus to Walton.

03/02/11 - New apparatus updates from Fort Thomas and Newport have been added to the column at the right.  Also, Point Pleasant's new E-One is due in any day now. New department pages have been added for Dry Ridge and Grant County Emergency Management.

02/11/11 - Added historical pages covering the Cold Spring Fire Department and the Highland Heights Fire Department.  These can be accessed through the site map and they are also linked on the Central Campbell department page.

01/28/11 - Starting to expand the site's coverage into Gallatin, Grant and Pendleton Counties.  Department pages have been added for Corinth and Crittenden in Grant County. 

01/6/11 - There continues to be a great deal of apparatus news in Northern Kentucky, and I have extensively updated the future/new deliveries column on the right.  Also, effective the first of the year, Southgate / Wilder EMS is no longer contracting with Alexandria for ALS service.  As a result, ALS service is now being handled in house with Squad 1370 now running as Medic 1380 and Car 192 now running as Car 1331/1431.  The Southgate and Wilder department pages have been updated with the new assignments, and several historical apparatus images have also been added.

12/24/10 - Added the rest of the current apparatus to Southern Campbell along with a couple of retired trucks.  Still working on a few apparatus detail pages - should be posted within the next week.

12/17/10 - Updated Melbourne with several apparatus along with detail pages for Tanker 830 and Engine 2.  Melbourne has also just received a new brush truck, if anyone knows the details on this apparatus please drop me a note.

12/10/10 - Finished the Ryland Heights dept page - added several apparatus and a couple of historical photos.

12/03/10 - General update of Piner Fiskburg - added the remainder of the current apparatus and detail pages for Engine 1251 and Engine 1252.


Future & New Deliveries Update -

Alexandria - Has purchased a parcel of land with an existing house & garage that will be utilized for a second station.  The property is located at Lickert Road and Persimmon Grove Pike.  The new station will be staffed with an engine company and ambulance that will relocate from the main fire station. The bid for the new ambulance to replace the 1994 Road Rescue assigned to Squad 71 has been awarded to Braun.

Boone County Water Rescue - Working on specifications for a new dive truck and 40' boat with delivery expected in 2012.

Burlington - Has placed a 2012 Chevrolet / CET into service as Brush 717.  The 2004 Ford / Welch previously assigned to Brush 717 has been sold.

Campbell County Fire District 1 - Has placed into service a new Ford / Horton for Ambulance 571.  The 2000 Ford / Horton previously assigned to Ambulance 571 is now being used as a spare.

Crescent Springs - The bid for the new rescue pumper has been awarded to Summit.  The truck is expected to arrive soon.  Engine 501 will become a reserve apparatus and Rescue 524 will be retired.

Erlanger - Has awarded the bid for the new rescue pumper to Sutphen.  The truck is expected arrive soon.  Erlanger has also recently placed into service a new Toyota Highlander for Medic 98 and a new Chevrolet utility truck.

Fort Thomas - The bid for the new rescue pumper to replace Engine 601 has been awarded to Crimson.  The truck will be the newly introduced Transformer model - it will be the first Transformer in the Commonwealth and only the third in the country.

Ludlow - Has been awarded a grant that will facilitate the purchase of a new pumper truck.  This is not yet at the bid/specification stage.

Piner - Fiskburg - The department has recently received a new tanker from Summit.  I do not have photos of the new apparatus yet.

Union - The new ambulance is currently on order with Braun and delivery is expected before the end of the year.
