Cincy Fire Engines

Apparatus Numbering

Apparatus in Campbell and Kenton Counties are assigned unit numbers based on the type of apparatus and the department.  As an example, the Crescent Springs Fire Department is assigned the 500 series so their engine companies are 501 and 503, the ladder truck is 510 and the rescue truck 524.

01-09 or 51-59 Engine Company
10 or 60 Ladder Company
24 or 74 Rescue Truck
17-19 or 67-69 Brush Truck
20-23 or 70-73 Tankers
13-16 or 63-66 Ambulances
25 or 75 Chief
26-28 or 76-78 Asst. Chiefs
30 & up or 80 & up Other Officers

Boone County moved away from this system in 2020, and renumbered their stations with the apparatus numbering matching the station number.  As an example:

Hebron Station 41 houses Engine 41, Ladder 41, Squad 41 and Haz-Mat 41.
