The combination paid/volunteer fire department operates out of a single station and protects the communities of Fort Mitchell and Lakeside Park, KY.  The department was previously known as the South Fort Mitchell Fire Department but has operated out of the same location since 1928.  The Fort Mitchell Life Squad was founded in 1980 and merged with the fire department in 1994. The Fort Mitchell Fire Department has a long history of dedication and service to the community.

News / Updates:

07/21 - Fort Mitchell placed into service a new Ford / Horton ambulance for Medic 714.  The 2010 unit previously assigned to Medic 714 has been retired.

06/21 - Fort Mitchell received a pair of new Dodge Durangos for Car 25 and Car 28,

12/20 - Truck 10 placed into service a new Pierce Arrow XT quint.

04/20 - With the Boone County apparatus / station renumbering, the 700 range previously occupied by Burlington became available.  Since dispatch is now county-wide, Fort Mitchell renumbered their apparatus to eliminate overlap with Covington.

04/20 - Fort Mtchell received a new Ford F-250 with Knapheide bodywork for Utility 749.

10/16 - A new Ford / Horton ambulance has been placed into service with Medic 16.

11/14 - Seagrave has delivered a new pumper truck for Engine 1, and the 1983 Sutphen previously assigned to Engine 1 has been retired.

10/10 - Fort Mitchell has received a new Horton for Medic 14.
