The groundbreaking for this new station was held in August of 2023. Construction is expected to be completed by Fall of 2024. There will be 3 drive-through apparatus bays, a training center and offices for the department's administration. At around 21,000 square feet, it will be the largest firehouse for the Florence Fire Department.
Located a couple of minutes from US 42 and the busy I-75 corrider, the station will greatly enhance service and response times. It is expected to house an engine company, a paramedic ambulance and a reserve ambulance..
Engine 34 - 2023 E-One Typhoon (1500 GPM / 1000 Gallon Tank)
- This apparatus is not staffed yet and is currently stored at Station 33.
Squad 34 - 2021 Ford / Horton (ALS Ambulance)
- This ambulance is currently staffed and is running out of Station 33.
