Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department
6844 Four Mile Road
Camp Springs, KY 41059
The Camp Springs Fire Department was founded in March of 1949 and was the first rural (non-city) fire department in Campbell County. In order to secure more consistent funding, the department in 1968 became the first fire protection district organized in Northern Kentucky and only the third in the entire commonwealth. The department ceased to exist in name in 2002 when Campbell County Fire District 1 was created, but the station still operates today as Station 53 of CCFD1.
